Title : The Good Samaritan

Author : Susan Howe

Genre : Short Story, Literary Fiction, Women's Fiction, General Fiction

Review Extract from Review By: jcoffey

"The Good Samaritan

Susan - this a lovely piece of writing. It comes across as authentic and totally plausible. I was engaged straight away, even though I began it thinking I wouldn't be. It left me wondering how the story might progress (wondering in a good way) and even if it isn't (yet?), it could quite easily become part of a longer story. However, it stands very well on its own. I was left really wanting to know what Rachel was going to say....

I haven't really got any negative points to make (unusual for me).

Thanks for a very enjoyable read and best of luck"

Synopsis
Mary's record spoke for itself. Kind and patient, always ready with tea and sympathy, there wasn't a more dedicated volunteer. Until she realised that charity begins at home.
