Hi

If you go down the Legend Press route, will the copyright page indicate copyright 2008 Legend Press?

Also, regarding the ISBN number, I sent an e-mail headed 'Book Distribution' on October 3rd and haven't had a reply.

Any information on these topics would be welcome.

Hi Ragnar

It won't be copyright Legend Press as they are just administrating, the copyright will remain with author as per sample copyright page we sent in submission details

The majority of distribution emails have now been sent out up to today's date, so I will contact Legend Press to send you out details.

Hello, Ragnar.

My reply from Legend took a while as well. But eventually they sent me updated instructions and a link to pay the forty quid through Google Checkout, which I did there and then.

I now feel that I have a foot in the door, as it were, because I certainly can't meet the October 31 deadline! I'll need a month beyond that.

Yours,

Pete J Garbett

I think we need to remember that Legend Press has recently been robbed - and some of their computers were stolen.

Personally, the fact that they are carrying on business as usual is exceptional. I thought for sure that the break-in would put this offer to an almost grinding halt for a little while.

If Legend's PC's have been stolen, how can we be sure our credit card details are safe? I haven't sent off my £40 yet and would prefer to send a cheque but I suppose they won't accept that. Or will they?

Hello Ragnar
I sent off my book etc to Legend earlier today and haven't received an acknowledgment. It didn't worry me too much until I heard from a friend that she sent hers and received a reply almost by return.
They haven't replied to my email asking how to pay the £39.99 either.

Hi Stocking, it's possible the acknowledgement response may have been filtered into your spam mail and I suggest you check there. Your book by email has been received safely, as has your distribution email. Legend are working their way through the emails and will email you details of how to pay. All payment systems are secure, as they go through Google payments, which is an interaction between the payer's computer and Google.

hi,

I am busy preparing my book for publication. At the risk of sounding like a dumbo, what exactly do you mean when you say you 'will contact Legend Press to send you out details'? Details of 'distribution emails'? I haven't received anything from Legend Press directly so should I be worried?

I only received an email from YWO saying I had been selected to submit my book and a couple of attachments were supplied e.g. the YWO contract etc. Is there anything else I should do before I submit?

thanks (in advance) for your advice

Boz

Hi Boz, no, just submit as per instructions. The above relates to those who are paying for their book to be distributed through online booksellers like Amazon, etc.
