Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone could help me...
I am writing a childrens book. Is it ok to refer to a real children's tv programme, and a football organisation or do I need to make the names up?
Many thanks

Many thanks This is not a problem, unless you are saying something libellous about them - for instance, that the televison programme's presenter was a child molester... Newspapers constantly refer to these things, and they don't have special permission.

Yes what Lexi said, although including current show names might lay you open to the work dating too quickly. Maybe making one up that is a pastiche/copy of an existing show and throwing in a line or two about what it is to clarify?
