John, Thanks again! Can you teach me how to review...? I wonder, were...are you a teacher of some type? I am working on The Lost Night and I have been told many times I need to improve on character and setting descriptions. I think maybe you are right I put most of it in later in my stories and I'll try moving it up some to grab attention earlier. Thanks! Lori

Lori No, not a teacher LOL............but in a past life I was involved in training so maybe that legacy has helped. I took on board some of your points about the appearance of the piece. It's easier on the eye now........and your encouragement has led to another short being posted too. I'm slowly learning my way around here. So thank you Lori.

You're welcome! I think you will do well here. Hmmm...the airport meeting. I need to think about that one. By the way what is LOL? I've seen it before and gosh if I can't make sense of it. I'll get to your new post as soon as I get a chance. Good luck! Lori

Lori LOL stands for "Laugh Out Loud" It is used in e-mails (UK) as a way of highlighting that the writer is either making a joke or trying to lighten something tht might be misunderstood. It kinda replaces body language in, what is in effect, unsighted communication.

Makes sense now! In the U.S. we use HA HA when making a joke. It means laughing too, but I couldn't tell you what the H or A stand for? I like yours better and may steal it sometimes just to confuse my friends and relatives.
