To add an avatar and signature, click on the 'My Profile' button when on the forum. This takes you to a page where you can add both by clicking on 'Avatar' or 'Signature' on your My Profile page.

This page also displays items such as your topic watch list, and display preferences.

Is there any way to delete a signature? I foolishly started messing around with my profile, and now I can't remove the signature! I get a "Something must be entered in the text editor" error if I simply delete the text.

I've tried a few times to add an avatar, but it always results in an error when the system tries to resize the photo.

Hi Danny

The auto resize isn't working at present, so it would have to be sized to the specs the avatar page says to be uploaded. Programmer will fix this, but we can't say when while the upgrade in .NET is going on, so in the meantime if you are able to resize your avatar or know someone who can then this is the way forward.

Thanks Ted. No idea how to resize it so will have to wait, it seems.

I found that even though I resized the pic as necessary it still wouldn't work.
It could also be that I wasn't doing it right... It was one of those
'Oh, I am writing now so don't disturb me ok?'
20 min later as he catches a glimpse of what's on my screen:
'I thought you were writing!'
'Yes but I cannot post my avatar...'

Danny, you are very welcome, but now you need to tell everyone about your book. I think you should put something in your signature about the soon-to-be-released Danny Gillan masterpiece, Will You Love Me Tomorrow. If it's anywhere near as good as Scratch, I can't wait for the opportunity to buy my copy.

Hi Cobble, she did something clever with her computer to resize the picture for me. Or it may have been witchcraft, I'm not sure!

It was witchcraft. I've just sent you an email, Cobble. I used the email address on your bio page. I hope that is the right one.
