I am Sheldon Xavier Wortley and from Rothwell, outside of Kettering, in Northamptonshire.
(EzBloke is a name I've used for years on many forums now, just in case anyone wondered...)

I have been a Terry Pratchett fan for aeons.
It tore me apart when I heard he has Alzheimer's and, selfishly, I only thought about myself.
I have always struggled to find another author that captures my (over)active imagination as much as he does,
and with that began my own journey.

I was made redundant in June 2007 and decided to take some time out "for myself".
My good lady,
(henceforth "EzBird", but don't tell her that as she doesn't like it )
pointed out that I tend to live on another planet so why didn't I write about it...?

So I did

Twelve months of 26 hour days, 8 day's a week
(Oooo, there's a song in there somewhere...)
and I have my first science fiction/fantasy novel...,
plans for six more in the canon,
a whole world plus history,
a new language
and a dozen characters to be explored.
Oh and an uncomfortable penchant for swearing it seems
(Who knew?!)
Which I am currently... cleaning up
(is that the right term?)
De-profanizing...?
(I believe would be found in an American dictionary, somewhere...)

And now I'm here.
