Collectors I absolutely loved this and was completely gripped right from the beginning. I thought it was very descriptive without becoming boring; the balance between action/conversation and description was just right.
I found it difficult to fully understand Petros' character, I was a bit confused by him. We see several different sides to him but with no real transitition phase or explanation.
In the first chapter he's compassionate towards the child, kind and meticulous in looking after her.
Then in the second chapter he seems remorseful about his past, almost bitter. When the reader finds out what he'd done in his past it doesn't fit at all with the impression of him that we have so far ...
I don't want to sound as if i am being overly critical or nitpicking because I really did think it was a great read and would love to read more.

Synopsis
During the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus a priest hides many valuable icons in a chapel underneath a church in Varousha, no mans land. To be found there is to be shot. Petros a Greek Cypriot and an ex army officer and Bear meet and form the Collectors. Their collections are lucrative and far reaching.
